Many prizes for our cheesemakers at the Canadian Cheese & Butter Competition 2022

We are very pleased that several of our cheesemakers stood out in the 2022 Canadian Cheese & Butter Competition presented by Dairy Farmers of Ontario during the 100th anniversary of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

The blue cheeses of L’abbaye Saint-Benoît win two categories (blue and flavored/smoked cheese). Grilling cheese with garlic flower, Fleur St-Michel from the Terroir de Bellechasse cheese dairy also won first place in its category, as did Le Verdict d'Alexina from the Le Détour cheese dairy, winner of the Open category. Other cheeses won 2nd and 3rd places (see details below).

It's a huge success for Canada's oldest and largest cheese and butter competition with 195 entries submitted by cheesemakers from across the country. The judgment took place on June 10.
