Our cheesemakers, multiple champions in the SIAL Fromage competition

Building on its success in 2022 in Montreal, this competition, which is specially dedicated to cheeses, was in its 3rd edition this year, in Toronto this time. The jury chaired by Gurth Pretty and made up of 18 cheese industry professionals evaluated 231 cheeses from 8 countries across 25 categories, including the new category this year; Fromage Artisanal Fermier, highlighting the cheese made by a cheese producer using traditional techniques from milk coming only from his farm and certified for the use of the valued term Fromage Fermier, in Quebec.

Congratulations to the Grand Champion (deemed the best cheese in all categories) STONETOWN ARTISAN CHEESE LTD. of St. Marys with its WILDWOOD cheese.

- Wildwood, Stonetown Artisan Cheese, Ontario, category: Firm Cheese and Grand Champion
